White Hills

White Hills is a residential neighbourhood in northwest London.  The area is characterized by 1970s-era single detached homes.  There is also a mix of townhouse complexes, duplexes and row housing.  Sherwood Forest Mall is located just south of the neighbourhood, and has shops and services, including the Sherwood branch of the London Public Library.  The Northwest London Resource Centre is also located in the Sherwood Forest mall.  It serves Northwest London as a community connector, hub for youth programming and advocate for the needs of the neighbourhood.

There are several parks in White Hills. Norwest Optimist and Jaycee both have baseball diamonds, soccer fields and play structures with swing sets.   Gainsborough Meadows Park and Thistledown Park are smaller, with open green space and play structures, and Medway Park has a spray pad, large play structure, and skateboard park.  Medway Park also has the Medway Community Centre, which has public meeting space and a single pad arena.  The Canada Games Aquatic Centre is also located adjacent to Medway Park, and features the largest indoor pool in the city.  There are connections from the neighbourhood to Fox Hollow Ravine - South, which has paths that lead to the Medway Valley Heritage Forest ESA.  The Museum of Ontario Archaeology backs onto the Medway Valley, which houses artifacts from across Ontario and has a reconstructed Iroquoian village.

Emily Carr, Wilfrid Jury, and St. Marguerite D’Youville elementary schools are located in the neighbourhood, as well as Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School. Secondary school students may also attend St. André Bessette Catholic Secondary School.
